Cooking For Kids: Tropical Cuisine

Journey through the Caribbean islands in LIFT Enrichment’s cooking class!  Our Chef Teachers will teach your kids to make Jerk Chicken/Tofu Skewers, Cuban Black Bean Soup, Jamaican-Style Collard Greens, Zucchini Fritters, Caribbean Curry with Rice, Glazed Pineapple with Vanilla Ice Cream and more.  Plus each lesson includes a dash of history, science, culinary techniques and dining etiquette.  At the end of the session, parents are invited to our Kid Restaurant where your kids are the waiters and chefs!   Get hungry to learn the art of cooking.

Veggies Include:  Collard Greens, Zucchini, Carrots, Bell Peppers, Cherry Tomatoes Onion

Recipes Include:Jerk Chicken/Tofu Skewers, Jamaican-Style Collard Greens, Zucchini Fritters, Veggie Quesadilla with Mango Salsa, Hawaiian Macaroni Salad, Cuban Black Bean Soup, Caribbean Curry with Rice, Fried Plantains with Chocolate Sauce, Glazed Pineapple with Vanilla Ice Cream

Both Days: Grades K-5, 10 lessons total.

Tuesdays: 1:40pm-2:40pm |  1/16, 1/23, 1/30, 2/6, 2/13, 2/20, 2/27, 3/6, 3/13, 3/20 | $220 per student includes ingredients

Thursdays: 2:40pm-3:40pm | 1/18, 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/15, 2/22, 3/1, 3/8, 3/15, 3/22  | $220 per student includes ingredients.
